1st Feb.
Dear Lord, my heart clings to You. You are with me and when You touch my soul, I am strengthened. Amen.

Lord, I know that You are everywhere and if I cry out that I cannot find You, it is because I have not opened my heart to You. Amen.

Dear Lord, grant that I guard my words and actions today so that I will not hurt or offend anyone. If I cannot speak and act, kindly, let me be silent. Amen.

What if we tried as hard to be good as we try to be beautiful.......!!!

Gracious God, help me to be as kind and forgiving as I want others to be towards me. Amen.

When the going gets weird, the weird turns pro.

When I feel I can do no more, Lord, I ask that You give me strength to hold on to my faith and lead me through my dark hours. Amen.

Luck may sometimes help; work always helps.

6th Feb.
Dear God, open my eyes so that I may see where my help is needed. Those who suffer need more than my prayers. Let me not be afraid to open my heart and purse to them. Amen.

If we had our whole life to live over again, we might not have the strength.

Dear God, I will trust You to be with me always as a loving, sustaining and supporting presence. Amen.

One of the advantages of teaching in a grade school is that you can find a place to park.

When I am in the shadows, dear Lord, help me to trust and not be afraid, knowing You are there. Amen.

O God, sometimes I discourage others; forgive me. Help me to encourage those who try out their faith and their skills. Amen.

Nothing is quite so annoying as to have someone go right on talking when you are interrupting.

With Your help, O Lord, I will be a better person: a caring, supportive, helpful person to do Your will. Amen.

How nice it would be if there were just something left these days that could honestly be called "unmentionable".

Because they were cheerful when it was difficult to be cheerful; patient when it was difficult to be patient; and because they pushed on when they wanted to stand still, and kept silent when they wanted to talk, and were agreeable when they wanted to be disagreeable. That was all. It was quite simple and always will be.

O Father, I will try to look forward to the changes in my life without fear. I know you will lead me safely through every path. Amen.

It's O.K. to ask dumb questions - they' re easier to handle them dumb mistakes.

O God, I need help to understand that faith is not a blind acceptance but a certain reasonable knowledge. Amen.

To be able to love a butterfly we must care for a few caterpillars.

Dear Lord, warm my heart, soften my rigid walls, bend my pride. May loving be my reason for being. Amen.

The one thing worse than a quitter is the person who is afraid to begin.

Dear Father, help me to remember to tell people when I appreciate them and when I am grateful for their service. Amen.

Dear Lord, I am often weary of the troubles of the world but I know I should not ignore them. I pray for more understanding and compassion so that I have the courage to take one step toward someone less fortunate than I. Amen.

Dear Lord, help me to remember that everyone's life is full of tribulation. Help me to remember that my strength and courage come from You and that You will not forsake me. Amen.

You have to know yourself before you can share that self with someone else.
